On the afternoon of December 24, a maritime incident occurred at Umm Qasr involving the cargo vessel 'Baghdad' (IMO: 9636242). While approaching its berth, the ship collided with the docked container carrier 'ESL Winner'. The force of the impact was significant enough to detach the lifeboat from the container ship, causing it to land on top of the 'Baghdad'. Additionally, the rear transom of the 'Baghdad' incurred damages from the collision. Following the incident, the vessel changed its berth but remained at Umm Qasr.
