Eternal-Oil-2 Vessel Reviews and Specifications

On November 18, 2010, the Customs and Excise Office of Indonesia made a significant intervention in Riau Province waters by detaining the vessel 'Eternal Oil II' (IMO: 9159828). This ship was reportedly caught in the act of transferring gasoline alongside another vessel, 'Jie Sheng', near Tuju Islet. Authorities suspect that the fuel was intended for illegal resale in Singapore's black market, raising concerns about cross-border smuggling activities. According to the manifest documentation, the 'Eternal Oil II' was carrying an impressive 613.5 tons of fuel, which was supposedly en route to Sangatta, located in East Kalimantan. Furthermore, on November 17, the customs officials also intercepted another vessel, 'Elang Laut', which was proceeding from West Kalimantan to Malaysia laden with 198 sacks of tin but lacked the necessary paperwork for its cargo. These operations underscore the ongoing battle against various smuggling operations in the region.
