Rescue Operation at Sea: Medevac of Injured Crew Member Near La Isleta
On December 25, 2023, the cargo vessel 'EVer Govern', en route from Rotterdam to Tanjung Pelepas, urgently requested a medical evacuation for an injured Indian crew member while situated approximately 70 nautical miles northeast of La Isleta. In response to the distress call, the CCS Las Palmas of Salvamento Marítimo deployed the search and rescue helicopter Helimer 204. The helicopter successfully hoisted the injured crew member on board before transporting him to Las Palmas airport, where he received immediate medical care on land.
