On August 29, 2021, the container ship 'Ever Lifting' reported a distressing incident to the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) in Uruguay, stating that a crew member had fallen overboard. The location of the incident was approximately 12 nautical miles south of Pirapolis, which lies east of Montevideo. Following the report, search and rescue (SAR) operations were promptly initiated.
