On March 10, 2014, Evergreen Group celebrated the launch of its latest maritime marvel, the EVER LUCENT, during a special naming ceremony at the CSBC Corporation shipyard in Taiwan. The event was graced by Ms. Molly Mok, Chairman of Evergreen Marine (Singapore) Pte Ltd, who presided over the proceedings. The honor of officially naming the 8,508 TEU vessel was bestowed upon Mrs. Pan-Tin Lim, wife of Mr. Patrick Ang, Chairman of Evergreen Shipping Agency (Singapore). The EVER LUCENT, like its L-type predecessors, boasts impressive specifications, measuring 334.8 meters in length and 45.8 meters in breadth. The ship is equipped with 948 reefer plugs, accommodating the transport of temperature-sensitive cargo efficiently, and features a draft of 14.2 meters. With a cruising speed of up to 24.5 knots, the EVER LUCENT is set to enhance Evergreen Line's services. Following its delivery to Evergreen Marine (Singapore) Pte Ltd on March 11, 2014, the EVER LUCENT is poised to take its place in the Far East – Europe route, replacing an older vessel to optimize fleet operations.
