The 8,452-TEU containership Ever Lucky, a remarkable addition to Evergreen's fleet, has been officially launched in a celebratory ceremony. This vessel is the 20th of the L-type models constructed at the renowned Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard. Owned by Greencompass Marine SA, a subsidiary of Evergreen Marine Corporation based in Panama, Ever Lucky is set to be delivered next month and will operate on the Asia to US West Coast route. This addition continues Evergreen's ambitious fleet modernization strategy that began in 2010. The shipping line aims to strengthen its competitiveness on the global stage through this extensive renewal program that encompasses a total of 30 L-type vessels. Of these, 20 have been commissioned from Samsung Heavy Industries, while the remaining 10 are being produced by CSBC Corporation in Taiwan. The introduction of Ever Lucky marks a significant milestone, bringing the fleet total to 25 L-type vessels. The remaining five ships from the CSBC Corporation are scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2015, further enhancing Evergreen Marine's operational capabilities.
