On September 1, 2021, a concerning medical situation arose on board the vessel 'Fahriye K.', which was situated off the Hereke Coast in the Körfez district of Kocaeli. Four of the ship's 12 crew members tested positive for Covid-19, prompting an immediate response. Emergency medical services swiftly transported the infected crew members to a nearby hospital.
