On February 25, 2014, a maritime incident unfolded in the port of Klaksvík, located in the scenic Faroe Islands, when the cargo vessel 'Slættaberg - KG 652' collided with the longliner 'Ågot - KG 244,' which was securely docked at the quay. The powerful impact resulted in the larger vessel becoming lodged against the starboard side of the longliner, causing significant disruption in the port. It took several hours for a leak sail to be deployed over the hull to address the situation. Unfortunately, the 'Ågot' sustained extensive damage due to the accident.
