On November 10, 2025, the crane ship 'FDA Mimmi', dispatched from Finnsnes, commenced operations to recover the Norwegian fishing vessel 'Trogangen H-261-H', which has a gross tonnage of 49.46 GT. This vessel unfortunately sank for the second time in Salangsverket on October 27 after being abandoned at the quay for an extended period. The owner, Tommy Løf from Sweden, faced a directive from Salangen municipality to remove the deteriorating wreck. Almost a year prior, on September 18, Finnsnes Dykk og Anleggsservice AS successfully raised the 70-year-old fishing vessel from its submerged resting place. Following its recovery, the name 'Trogangen,' which had been prominently displayed on the wheelhouse, was swiftly removed. This act often signifies the owner's disavowal of responsibility for the vessel and complicates efforts to ascertain the ship's identity, posing challenges for local authorities and harbor management. After being retrieved, the 'Trogangen' was housed at the marina of Salangen's Kystlag.
