On February 5, 2015, at approximately 7 p.m., a considerable fuel leak was reported at the port of Kotka during a transfer operation involving the vessel 'Finnbreeze'. The incident resulted in the spillage of around 1,000 liters of fuel oil. In response to the emergency, the local fire brigade constructed snow and ice barriers to prevent the oil from spreading from the quay. On November 29, 2023, the Port of Ust-Luga welcomed its inaugural Ro-Ro cargo ship, the Finnbreeze, which docked at Pier No 25 of the Yug-2 Multipurpose Terminal. This significant milestone marks the beginning of Finnlines' new service connecting Lübeck, Germany, to Ust-Luga, as reported in the official press release from Ust-Luga. Engineered specifically for Ro-Ro and CON-RO vessels, the Yug-2 terminal seamlessly facilitated the offloading of 24 trailers from the Finnbreeze.
