Authorities have unearthed a concerning hydraulic oil leak from the vessel 'Fjärdvägen', indicating that the spill may have persisted for an extended period. In response to this environmental breach, investigators have initiated a criminal complaint regarding the pollution. The alarm was raised during a routine inspection conducted by the Åland Coast Guard in collaboration with the Safety Agency Trafi at Långnäs port. During the investigation, the crew of the 'Fjärdvägen' was interrogated, and oil samples were collected from both the ship and the surrounding water.
