Working Conditions Aboard the Frosso-K

On September 27, 2025, the 'Frosso K' was detained at Tianjin port by the officials of the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding (Tokyo MoU). The vessel's inspection uncovered nine significant deficiencies, with three categorized as serious enough to warrant detention. Having arrived from Liuheng just a day earlier, on September 26, the ship has remained in port without movement as of September 29.

On March 1, 2018, the vessel Banos A. set sail from Gwangyang, heading towards Gemlik. Unfortunately, during its voyage, water began to infiltrate cargo hold number three. Upon reaching Gemlik on April 4, two days later, damaged cargo was discovered. The Banos A. was transporting steel coils at the time of the incident. To manage the situation, the vessel relocated from Rota Port in Gemlik to Izmit Kocaeli on April 8 to unload its remaining cargo. Following the discharge, a thorough investigation will be conducted by P&I and cargo underwriters surveyors to determine the exact cause of the water ingress.
