Injury on the Old Captain: Crew Conflict Leads to Hospitalization
On the evening of October 25, 2010, a serious incident unfolded aboard the 'Old Captain' at Hamburg's Africa Terminal when a confrontation between two intoxicated Russian crew members escalated into violence. The ship's second officer suffered significant injuries during the altercation, leading to an emergency response. Witnesses report that he resisted being transported to the hospital, necessitating police intervention for his safety. Despite his critical condition and a significant loss of blood, the officer attempted to escape treatment while in the ambulance and later in the hospital.
