On the morning of May 6, 2019, a crew member aboard the vessel Galeón Andalucía required urgent medical assistance, prompting a medevac operation. The ship was located off the coast of Oia as it made its way towards the port of Ostende. Salvamento Marítimo's helicopter, Pesca 1, conducted the hoisting operation and successfully transported the patient to a hospital in Vigo for further treatment.
