Laugfs Maritime Services Expands Fleet with Acquisition of Third LPG Carrier
Laugfs Maritime Services, the maritime arm of Sri Lanka's prominent Laugfs Gas, is making waves in the shipping industry with its latest acquisition—a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carrier. The 3,500-cubic meter vessel, named Lady Martine, was built in 1998 and purchased from Ultragas for a price of $2.875 million. Following the acquisition, the vessel is set to be rebranded as Gas Courage and will be reflagged to Sri Lanka. This addition strengthens Laugfs Maritime's operational capabilities as they integrate the new vessel into their growing fleet, which already includes the LPG carriers Gas Challenger and Gas Success. This strategic move highlights Laugfs Maritime's commitment to enhancing its service offerings in the LPG shipping sector.
