Ocean Yield ASA Welcomes New Gas Carrier 'Gaschem Orca' with Long-Term Charter to Hartmann Group
Ocean Yield ASA has proudly unveiled the delivery of the 'Gaschem Orca', a 36,000 cbm liquefied ethylene gas carrier, from Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering based in China (IMO number: [insert if applicable]). This marks a significant milestone as the 'Gaschem Orca' is the second of two sister vessels recently delivered to the firm. Following its delivery, this advanced gas carrier has commenced a substantial 15-year bareboat charter agreement with the Hartmann Group. Additionally, upon its arrival in Houston this coming July, the vessel will engage in a 10-year sub-charter with SABIC Petrochemicals B.V. ('SABIC'). The primary role of the 'Gaschem Orca' will be to facilitate the transportation of ethane from Houston to SABIC's cracker located in Teeside, UK. Notably, Ocean Yield ASA has successfully taken delivery of five vessels in 2023, expanding its fleet to a total of 37 vessels, with 36 of these already delivered.
