Genco Shipping & Trading Limited, a prominent player in the dry bulk shipping sector, proudly announced on Thursday the successful delivery of its newest addition, the Genco Weatherly. This 2014-built Ultramax vessel boasts a capacity of 61,000 dwt. The Genco Weatherly marks the beginning of an exciting influx of vessels for the company, as it is the first of four ships from a comprehensive acquisition deal that includes two 2015-built Capesize vessels weighing in at 180,000 dwt each, as well as another Ultramax vessel from 2016, also at 60,000 dwt. Furthermore, Genco has recently made moves to expand its fleet further by securing an agreement for two additional 2016-built Capesize vessels, each with a capacity of 180,000 dwt.
