Working Conditions Aboard the Georg-Oldendorff

The bulk carrier Georg Oldendorff, a vessel operated by Oldendorff Carriers and registered in Madeira, Portugal, has arrived at the Murmansk Commercial Seaport PJSC. According to recent updates from the company, this ship is scheduled to load a substantial 55,000 tonnes of coal destined for a European facility. This impressive vessel, launched in 2015, measures 230 meters in length and 32 meters in width, boasting a deadweight capacity of 80,000 tonnes. Coal sourced from the Kemerovo Region is transported to Murmansk by rail, which provides a highly efficient logistical route. Murmansk Commercial Seaport has established itself as a key player in maritime logistics, planning to export metallurgical coal at least once a month. Since its inception in 1994, the port operates 17 berths extending approximately 3 kilometers, with sufficient water depths to accommodate vessels with drafts of up to 15.5 meters and lengths exceeding 265 meters.
