On December 12, 2020, an urgent medical situation prompted the crew of the 'Glasgow Express', which was en route from Montreal to Tanger-Med, to request assistance off the coast of Cádiz. At approximately 10 a.m., the vessel's captain reported serious medical issues affecting one of the crew members, necessitating immediate hospital care. The Spanish maritime rescue service, Salvamento Marítimo, quickly responded by deploying the SAR vessel 'Salvamar Suhail'. The rescue boat successfully evacuated the ailing crew member, who was subsequently brought to the port of Cádiz. There, a waiting ambulance transported him to the hospital for further medical treatment.
