Disabled Fishing Vessel Rescued and Towed to Safety in IJmuiden
On October 11, 2019, the fishing vessel 'Jan Corneiis - GO-22' encountered a critical issue when its propeller became entangled in a fishing net just outside the breakwaters of IJmuiden. In need of immediate assistance, the vessel reached out for help. The Port Towage Amsterdam responded promptly, deploying the tug 'Triton' to assist in the rescue operation. The 'Triton' successfully towed the 'Jan Corneiis - GO-22' to the quay, where it docked at 5:10 p.m. After completing necessary examinations and repairs, the fishing vessel re-embarked on its journey towards the North Sea fishing grounds, setting sail again at 1:30 a.m. on October 14.
