Working Conditions Aboard the Golden-Malak

On May 18, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., a maritime incident occurred in the Marmara Sea involving the bulk carrier 'Persenk' and the cargo vessel 'Ahmet Can' (IMO: 9368182). The collision took place between Marmara Island and the port of Tekirdag while both vessels were navigating toward the Dardanelles. Following the incident, both ships sustained damage. The 'Persenk' made its way to Tekirdag Anchorage and was securely moored at coordinates 40° 56.99' N 027° 32.58' E by 12:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the 'Ahmet Can' also anchored near Tekirdag, positioning itself at 40° 58.04' N 027° 32.43' E. At the time of the collision, the 'Persenk' was traveling from Istanbul to Ashdod, while the 'Ahmet Can' was en route from Istanbul to Izmir.
