The vessel, known as 'Grace A,' embarked on its journey from Mersin to Alexandria, stirring worries it may be transporting military supplies to the Ankara-supported government in Libya, potentially breaching the established arms embargo. Setting sail on March 6, 2020, the vessel was last tracked on April 7 near Cyprus, just south of Larnaca, after which it disabled its automatic identification system (AIS). Greek officials have confirmed that the ship's erratic movements have triggered alerts, but as of April 10, the exact destination and nature of its cargo remain unclear.

On December 14, 2015, at approximately 07:30 a.m., the cargo ship 'Bee Master' sent out a distress signal while stranded in position 33 36N 031 18E, roughly 90 miles southwest of Cyprus. The vessel had been adrift since December 11 due to mechanical failure. The urgency of the situation arose when a crew member developed a serious illness and required immediate medical assistance. The Greek Coastguard swiftly responded to the distress call and conducted a successful medevac operation in the afternoon, rescuing the ailing crew member and transporting him to a nearby hospital for treatment. At the time of the incident, the 'Bee Master' was navigating from Tobruk toward the Middle East coast.
