At approximately 9 p.m., emergency dispatchers received reports of an individual believed to be experiencing mental health challenges who had jumped from the vessel. Quick to respond, the Bridgeport Police and Fire Marine Units, alongside the U.S. Coast Guard and American Medical Response (AMR), mobilized to the scene, providing crucial support. Despite their efforts, the 50-year-old man was later transported to a nearby hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries. Authorities from the Bridgeport Police Department have since reached out to inform the next of kin about this unfortunate incident.
