MSC Launches New 'Amberjack' Service to Enhance Transpacific Trade

MSC is set to revamp its Everglades service, rebranding it as the 'Amberjack' service, which will now include a stop in New York. This strategic adjustment aims to enhance operational efficiency across their fleet. The modifications will take effect starting the first week of May 2016, with departures from Asia. The Amberjack service, alongside the Lone Star Express, will continue to benefit from the existing America and Empire services. With this change, MSC will now offer four weekly services that connect Asia to the East Coast of the United States. The inaugural voyage will depart from Xingang on May 6, 2016, aboard the M/V GRASMERE MAERSK 618E. The service's port rotation will include the following stops: Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Busan, Savannah, New York, Charleston, Jacksonville, and Freeport.
