The Greenland: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

On March 23, 2024, the 'Greenland' embarked on its mission from Fujairah, laden with 4,630 tonnes of essential humanitarian supplies aimed at supporting the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip. This vessel marks the third ship deployed under Operation 'Gallant Knight 3', orchestrated by the UAE. The cargo holds a significant amount of relief materials, including 4,218.3 tonnes of food, 370.2 tonnes of shelter equipment, and 41.6 tonnes of vital medical supplies. Additionally, the ship is equipped with six water tanks, two septic tanks, and one diesel storage tank to facilitate essential services. The vital supplies were organized and donated by the Emirates Red Crescent, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, with the assistance of 267 trucks that successfully transferred the cargo to the ship, ready for its journey to Al Arish. On April 11, 2010, during the early afternoon, an oil spill incident involving the vessel "Vasaland" was reported at Floating Dock 5, located at Motorenwerke Bremerhaven. The Bremerhaven police observed the spill, which originated from a malfunctioning overflow tank, causing significant contamination to both the floating dock and the surrounding Kaiser Harbour 1 area, extending over approximately 10,000 square meters. Immediate cleanup efforts commenced to mitigate the environmental impact, while authorities initiated an investigation into the incident.
