CMA CGM has announced enhancements to its PEX 3 service, establishing a vital connection between the US Gulf Coast, US East Coast (South Atlantic), and key destinations in Asia, Africa, and the Mediterranean. Beginning on March 9, 2016, the service will kick off in Houston with the m/v CMA CGM CHATEAU D’IF on voyage 062PGW. The revamped route will include the following ports: Houston, Mobile, Miami, Jacksonville, Charleston, Tangier, Singapore, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Pusan. This strategic upgrade is set to facilitate improved trade flow and connectivity for shipping customers.

On the evening of October 1, 2011, U.S. Coast Guard teams from San Diego and Sacramento successfully executed a medical evacuation of an unwell crew member from the vessel 'CGM Chateau Dif,' located 170 miles northwest of San Diego. The operation began when the Coast Guard's operations center in Alameda, California, received an alert at 2:30 p.m. regarding a 37-year-old Filipino crewman who was suffering from a high fever and other concerning symptoms. Following the assessment by a Coast Guard flight surgeon, a medevac was deemed necessary. An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter was promptly dispatched from Coast Guard Sector San Diego to carry out the evacuation, accompanied by a C-130 Hercules aircraft from Air Station Sacramento for communication support and aerial escort. Once on site, the helicopter crew successfully hoisted the ailing crewman aboard, and by 10:50 p.m., he was safely delivered to Sector San Diego, where he was handed over to emergency medical personnel for further treatment.
