BNP Paribas, via its Italian arm BNP Paribas Lease Group, has announced the sale of two of its containerships, Ital Milione and Ital Moderna, which are currently under the management of Evergreen's Italia Marittima. Reports from various shipbrokers indicate that these sister vessels, each with a capacity of 4,363 TEU, were constructed at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in South Korea and delivered in 2008. The Ital Milione is set to come off its time charter in June, while Ital Moderna’s charter is scheduled to conclude in 2019.
