On May 3, 2025, a distress call was received from the 'Gujndem Makbule', a vessel cruising 12 nautical miles from Cartagena while making its way from Figueira de Fos to Milos. The ship's crew urgently requested medical evacuation for a fellow crew member who was experiencing a heart attack. Promptly responding to the emergency, the RCC of Salvamento Marítimo deployed the SAR boat 'Salvamar Draco' (MMSI: 225993950), which was equipped with a medical team. The crew member was successfully evacuated and brought to the port of Cartagena for immediate medical assistance.

On September 12, 2018, a maritime incident occurred at approximately 6 a.m. when the bulk carrier Gundem Makbule, traveling from Szczecin to Kalamaki, collided with the container vessel Tina (IMO: 9277383) as it departed from the New Northern lock of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel, making its way towards the Elbe River. The allision resulted in minor damages, with both vessels sustaining scratches on their starboard bow sections. Additionally, the Gundem Makbule incurred dents on its port side poop deck and a damaged position lantern. Fortunately, since all damages were situated above the waterline, both vessels were permitted to resume their journeys later in the morning. The Tina departed for Hamburg at 7:15 a.m. and successfully reached its destination by 11 a.m. Meanwhile, the Gundem Makbule is expected to arrive in Kalamaki on September 22.
