Evergreen Marine Corporation (EMC) has officially launched its China Philippine Malaysia (CPM) Service, further enhancing direct shipping capabilities from Bintulu International Container Terminal (BICT). This new service operates alongside the already established Taiwan Philippine Indonesia (TPI) Service, covering various significant ports within the Intra Asia Trade routes. This announcement was made by Datuk Mior Ahmad Baiti Mior Lub Ahmad, CEO of Bintulu Port Sdn Bhd (BPSB). On April 23, the MV Baltic Strait made its inaugural docking at BICT, signaling the commencement of this vital new shipping service. Mior highlighted that the introduction of the Baltic Strait will not only enhance direct shipping connectivity but also provide additional capacity for cargo transportation. "This provides shippers with more choices in selecting main line operators for their logistics needs," he remarked. He also emphasized that EMC’s decision to use Bintulu Port for this service underscores the company's trust in the port's efficient operations.
