The naming ceremony took place at Huisman China’s facility in Xiamen, officiated by Mrs. Leanda Breakell, the wife of Mr. Greg Breakell, the Managing Director of ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions (Australia) Pty Ltd. Happy Star marks a significant enhancement to BigLift Shipping's impressive fleet, having been constructed by Ouhua Shipbuilding in China. This powerhouse vessel boasts a wide 29-meter deck complemented by two 900-metric ton Heavy Lift Mast Cranes, establishing her as a flagship among heavy lift vessels. The addition of Happy Star finalizes the Happy S Series alongside her sibling, Happy Sky. Designed with precision, she features cranes built by Huisman, expertly installed at the Huisman yard in Xiamen, making her exceptionally equipped to transport heavy cargo across the globe. Happy Star stands at 156 meters in length and has a deadweight tonnage (dwt) of 18,374. Her design, characterized by high crane pedestals and an elongated jib, provides her with an unparalleled lifting height that stands out in the global heavy lift fleet. The forward placement of the superstructure creates a spacious, singular cargo hold and a vast, unobstructed deck area.
