On August 29, 2023, Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. proudly announced the delivery of the M/V HARVEY STONE (Hull 234) to Harvey Gulf International Marine, LLC, based in New Orleans, Louisiana. This state-of-the-art vessel is a Rampage 6400 Multi-Purpose Field Support Vessel (MPFSV), expertly designed by Robert Allan, Ltd. from Vancouver, BC, according to a press release from the shipbuilder. The contract for the HARVEY STONE was finalized on July 16, 2014, with the vessel's launch taking place on December 18, 2015. Eastern Shipbuilding is also focused on completing two other Multi-Purpose Support Vessels (MPSVs) under construction: the HARVEY SUB-SEA and HARVEY BLUE-SEA, designed by VARD Marine. The HARVEY SUB-SEA is anticipated to be delivered in 2016 after undergoing thorough outfitting and sea trials, followed by its sister vessel, the HARVEY BLUE-SEA. This latest delivery adds to a remarkable history, as Eastern Shipbuilding has previously delivered eleven vessels to Harvey Gulf, encompassing Offshore Supply Vessels, Light Construction Vessels, and Ocean Service Tugs, highlighting a strong legacy of collaboration between the two maritime leaders.
