The Hautsdefrance: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

During the night of July 5 and the following day, the CROSS Gris-Nez coordinated multiple rescue missions in the treacherous waters of the Strait of Pas-de-Calais, leading to the successful recovery of 144 migrants. The rescue efforts began with the 'Jacques Oudart Fourmentin,' which located and assisted 47 individuals stranded off the coast of Le Touquet. Following this, the semi-rigid vessel 'SNS 709 Jean Baptiste', operated by the SNSM station in Berck-sur-Mer, saved 33 individuals near Fort-Mahon-Plage and safely transferred them to the patrol boat. In the Calais area, the tug 'Abeille Normandie' conducted a rescue operation, successfully bringing 21 individuals to safety. Additionally, the rescue vessel 'Hauts de France' managed to save 43 individuals from the waters near the beach at Hardelot. After these successful operations, all 144 rescued migrants were brought to the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer, where they received immediate assistance from the border police and the local departmental fire and emergency services.
