Following the breakdown, the ship sought refuge off the coast of Milos. Maritime authorities promptly detained the vessel to ensure repairs and thorough inspections were conducted before it could resume its journey.

On March 15, 2014, at approximately 4:40 p.m., the fishing vessel 'Rochefort' reported a medical emergency to the semaphore Cape de la Chèvre, noting that a crew member was experiencing severe chest pain. The semaphore quickly reached out to the CROSS Corsen, prompting a coordinated response involving the vessel's crew and SAMU 29. After assessing the situation, it was determined that a medical helicopter evacuation was necessary. At that time, the 'Rochefort', with its eight crew members, was anchored in the picturesque Bay of Douarnenez. A Navy Cayman helicopter stationed in Lanvéoc took flight at 4:50 p.m., carrying a team of medical professionals. The helicopter successfully reached the scene by 5:20 p.m., where the crew member was hoisted aboard and subsequently transported to Cavale Blanche Hospital in Brest, arriving just after 6:20 p.m.
