Minor Collision on the Mississippi River Involving Costas L and Heranger
On March 20, 2015, at approximately 07:40 AM, a notable maritime incident occurred on the Mississippi River near Chalmette, New Orleans, when the bulk carrier 'Costas L' collided with the vessel 'Heranger' at mile marker 89. The 'Heranger' was in the process of entering an anchorage when it experienced a loss of power, causing its anchor to become entangled with the mooring line of the 'Costas L'.
