D’Amico Shipping has finalized the sale of their Medium Range (MR) tanker, 'High Trust', built in 2016 by Hyundai Vinashin, to Japanese buyers. The transaction, valued at $29.5 million, includes a ten-year bareboat charter agreement allowing D’Amico to retain operational control of the vessel. In a significant move to modernize its fleet, D’Amico International Shipping from Italy has successfully executed two consecutive agreements for its product tanker segment. Following up on a recent transaction, the company has entered into a 10-year bareboat charter for the medium-range tanker HIGH TRUST, which boasts a deadweight tonnage of 49,990. Originally constructed in 2016 by the Hyundai-Mipo shipyard in South Korea, the charter deal is valued at $29.5 million. Under the terms of the agreement, D’Amico retains complete control over the vessel and holds a future purchase option. This strategic arrangement is expected to provide the company with $11.9 million in cash after deducting commissions and covering the existing loan on the vessel. D’Amico noted that these funds will bolster its liquidity, assisting in the ongoing fleet renewal initiative.
