On January 20, 2019, the freighter AS Laetitia found itself incapacitated (NUC) due to mechanical issues while navigating the Thermaikos Gulf. The vessel, with a crew of 15 on board, did not request external assistance during this unexpected situation. A nearby patrol boat was dispatched to monitor the situation.
