On April 1, 2010, a tragic maritime accident occurred off the coast of Vung Tau, Vietnam, when the fishing vessel "Cheng Lu 19," en route from Ho Chi Minh City, collided with a local fishing boat. This incident resulted in the unfortunate death of one Vietnamese crew member. As the impact unfolded, six other crew members managed to leap overboard and were rescued by nearby fishing vessels. Sadly, the seventh crew member was not as fortunate, and his body was retrieved later the same day. In response to this incident, local authorities have taken the precaution of seizing the "Cheng Lu 19" and initiating further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
