In the early hours of October 25, 2021, a maritime incident occurred when the cargo vessel m/v 'SS Sun' (IMO: 9135028) collided with the vessel 'Hua Hang Han Ya 2' in the Kurushima Strait, near Imabari City, Japan. The collision took place at approximately 3:20 a.m. and resulted in a minor injury to one Burmese crew member aboard the 'SS Sun,' who sustained a facial cut and was subsequently taken to a local hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, both vessels maintained their navigational capabilities following the incident.
