MOL Growth Crew Rescues Castaways Off Brazil's Coast
On October 23, 2015, the crew of the containership MOL Growth, which includes 23 members from Estonia, Russia, and Ukraine, undertook a heroic rescue operation. Responding to a distress call from the Brasilian MRCC, they successfully saved four castaways stranded 55 kilometers off the Brazilian coast while en route from Santos to Itaguaí. The castaways, who were aboard a yacht, were found clinging to a raft and were safely brought aboard the MOL Growth before being transported to Itaguaí.
