The owners of the MV Minna have officially announced a declaration of general average in response to a recent maritime incident. On May 26, 2020, while navigating from Beira, Mozambique, to Mauritius, the vessel ran aground during its departure from the port. The ship became immobilized at the coordinates 19°53'38" S, 34°50'44" E within the Beira anchorage. In light of the situation, T&T Salvors were engaged to execute the refloating operation, which successfully restored the Minna to navigable status on June 4, 2020.
