On June 6, 2017, at approximately 8:30 PM, the bulk carrier Iolcos Vision encountered trouble while navigating downstream along the Paraná River, becoming grounded at km mark 341 in the Ramallo region. Fortunately, the vessel was successfully refloated the following morning, June 7, at 4:20 AM, utilizing its own resources. After regaining its stability, the Iolcos Vision continued its journey toward Imbituba, with an estimated arrival date of June 10. Following the incident, thorough soundings were conducted in the affected area, allowing for the full resumption of maritime traffic.
