On November 11, 2018, at approximately 12:53 a.m., the cargo ship 'Asian Moon,' while traveling from Rotterdam to Willemstad, encountered a significant power failure, resulting in a complete blackout. This incident rendered both the engine and bridge equipment inoperative. At the time of the blackout, the vessel was carrying 11,299 tonnes of hazardous materials and had a crew of 17 members on board. The 'Asian Moon' was reported as not under command, positioned at coordinates 49°39'45.0"N, 3°45'44.4"W, approximately 38 miles south of Start Point, Devon. Fortunately, an emergency generator was swiftly activated, allowing the ship to resume its journey four hours later. The ship is currently expected to arrive in Curacao on November 23.
