Tragic Incident: Captain of 'Ivestos X' Passes Away During Voyage
On March 13, 2021, a tragic incident unfolded aboard the bulk carrier 'Ivestos X' as the 62-year-old captain, a respected Filipino national, died while the vessel was en route from Lubuk, Kalimantan, to Masinloc. The unfortunate event occurred during transit through the Sibutu Passage in Tawi-Tawi, when the captain suddenly lost consciousness. Responding swiftly to a medical emergency call, the Philippine Navy dispatched paramedics to the ship; however, despite their best efforts, they were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead.
