Working Conditions Aboard the Izki

Oman Shipping Company S.A.O.C. (OSC) proudly announced the delivery of its latest Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC), named 'IZKI', from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd (DSME) located in Okpo, South Korea. The 'IZKI' is engineered and constructed in line with cutting-edge international standards, featuring advanced ballast water treatment technology designed to meet global conventions on environmental protection against the hazards posed by ballast water and sediments. This impressive vessel boasts a significant deadweight tonnage (DWT) capacity of 317,000, measuring 333 meters in overall length, with a beam of 60 meters and a design draft of 21 meters. The technical management of 'IZKI' will be handled by International Tanker Management (ITM) based in Dubai, a part of the 'V Ships' group. The vessel is set to operate within the VL8 Pool, a strategic partnership involving OSC, Navig8, and VTN, headquartered in Singapore. With the acquisition of 'IZKI', OSC now enhances its fleet, holding 13 out of 14 VLCCs in the VL8 Pool.
