On April 23, 2019, the container ship 'Jaguar' experienced mechanical troubles while navigating the Strait of Kafireas, as it was making its way from Istanbul to Piraeus. The dedicated engineering crew aboard the vessel promptly addressed the technical issues without the need for external assistance from the Greek Coastguard. After successfully completing repairs, the 'Jaguar' proceeded towards its destination and ultimately docked at the Piraeus Container Terminal SA at 10.30 p.m. the same day. This incident highlights the resilience and expertise of maritime engineers in managing onboard challenges during critical operations.

The container vessel Jaguar experienced an unexpected engine failure shortly after departing from Thessaloniki on the evening of June 19, 2012. Subsequently, the ship was detained for necessary repairs and a detailed survey. After addressing the issues, the Jaguar successfully resumed its journey and was heading towards Piraeus by the afternoon of June 20, ensuring minimal disruption to its schedule.
