In a significant transition, J. Lauritzen Ship Management has successfully transferred ownership of the reefer vessel Jørgen Lauritzen back to its Greek owner. This vessel has notably flown the Danish flag for two decades, solidifying its presence on the maritime stage. Recently, Jørgen Lauritzen was reflagged in Philadelphia, USA, before officially switching over to a Bahamas flag. The ship is now navigating the seas under the new name, Jorgen Reefer. Notably, Jørgen Lauritzen is part of an iconic fleet of four reefer vessels, which were recognized as the world's largest upon their introduction by Danyard in Frederikshavn between 1990 and 1991. This quartet stood out as the most technologically advanced vessels constructed in Denmark, setting benchmarks in maritime capabilities.
