Dec 07, 2017 16:31

On December 6, 2017, at 6:40 PM, the cargo vessel 'Jork Ruler,' on its journey from Thamesport to Helsinki, experienced an allision with the middle wall of the New Southern Lock in Brunsbüttel while navigating the Kiel Canal. The incident occurred as the vessel was positioning itself to berth at the middle wall when a sudden strong gust from the west caused the stern to veer towards the starboard side.
