According to the Seychelles police, the distressing discovery was made around 7:00 PM local time on Thursday, February 12. Eyewitnesses, including a colleague who was fishing nearby, reported hearing a splash before noticing Meelis floating. Emergency responders performed CPR after recovering him from the waters, and he was quickly transported to the English River Health Centre. Unfortunately, despite the efforts, Kivi Meelis was pronounced dead at 9:07 PM. The case has raised concerns among the maritime community as investigations continue.
