Working Conditions Aboard the Kalahari-Express

On January 7, 2016, authorities in Manzanillo, Mexico, made a significant drug bust aboard the freighter 'Mataquito'. During a routine inspection, officials discovered an impressive 173 kilograms of cocaine concealed within a shipping container. The 'Mataquito', which had recently arrived from Buenaventura, is believed to have had the drugs clandestinely loaded onto the vessel at its prior port of call. Fortunately, preliminary investigations indicate that both the crew and the management of the vessel were unaware of the illicit cargo and were not implicated in the drug trafficking operation.
