Working Conditions Aboard the Kapitan-Afanasyev

On December 16, 2020, an incident occurred at Chittagong Port involving the container vessel 'Kapitan Afanasyev.' While maneuvering to berth at jetty No. NCT-4, the ship struck the already docked 'Happy Bee' (IMO: 9367542), which was stationed at jetty No. NCT-5. Both vessels sustained damages from the allision during the container discharge operations. Following the incident, 'Kapitan Afanasyev' departed Chittagong Port on December 18, setting course for Nansha with an estimated time of arrival on December 26. In contrast, the 'Happy Bee,' which had arrived from Colon, remained anchored at the port as of December 18.
